I noticed this bird has been consistently more alert and aggressive since being a young chick. I’m not surprised. Thanks for confirming what I was thinking!

What do you think of this one? I had a hunch this one ( picture taken at 7 weeks) might be a cockerel, but has a mellower temperament.

I’m leaning towards pullet because “her” comb is paler/pink like the other girls. I don’t know enough to really know what I’m talking about. Any thoughts?

From that picture and not knowing the age I will say that is a pullet.

How old is it and do you have a side picture of it?

It still looks like a pullet to me. But, at 6-7 weeks is still pretty young.

Thank you. The feather coloring hasn’t changed much at all and the bird is 8 weeks old. If I get some clear pictures this weekend, I’ll post them.

I have a few Bantam EE’s. This one has been the darkest gray bird and now approaching nine weeks is developing red patches. Are these what you mean by red shoulders?

She is a pullet. Her coloring is female specific.
