Is this a rooster or a hen??

Our chicken is almost 12 weeks old. He/She is an americana and we have been trying to figure out what gender it is. Can anyone help?? Thanks.

At 12 weeks, I think it is a pullet.

While you have some auburn coming in here and there, it is not a red block on the wings.

Feathers look rounded in the photo, and the comb is still small and mostly pale.

A rooster by 12 weeks would have a redder comb and more blotchy coloring.

I'd wait a few more weeks to make a definite call, but I think you've got an Easter Egger girl.
