Is this a rooster or hen? Please help!

I can't figure out if this is a hen or rooster. We bought her because we thought she was a hen but lately I have been seen her mounting on my silkie from the back. My silkie has been around longer than her. This picture is of her she is an Ameraucana just wondering if she is a big BEE or a rooster. And do you guys know what type of Ameraucana it is?

He doesn't crow yet? Is it normal for him to be mounting the girls if he isn't crowing?

Some of my roosters don’t crow often and some do i think it depends on how many roosters you have

Each rooster will crow at his own time. I actually have one bantam cochin that I have literally never heard crow.

Oh okay thanks for your reply! He doesn't mess with my other girls who haven't started laying. Can he sense which ones are laying and which aren't?

Honestly, I'm not too sure about that. He may just be a more gentle boy who knows better, lol. We once had one that would try to mount everything and another that would only mount hens when they wanted him too.
