Is this a rooster or just older/bigger?

I bought 3 chicks from a local feed store who claimed 90% accuracy on their chicks. Two of them were sold as "Ameraucanas". The guy said they were "about two weeks old" when I got them, making them about 6 weeks old now.

One of them is much bigger than the other. I'm a bit worried it's a rooster? Do you think it's just older or bigger? It's bigger than my other 3 chickens but next to the other one it looks so different. Is there any way to tell at this point?

I'll pass it on, I think it's from Lucky Brand.

I'm thinking about calling the Feed store and asking what they can do for me - the 3rd chick I got from them is the one we have with a really messed up foot. If this one is a rooster we'll be down to 3 chickens, one of who is a gimp. And he will need a new home.

What is the difference between a rooster and a cockerel? *sheepish*

Thats a boy. Does he have a tail? Looks like a Araucana to me. Maybe even a BBR Araucana. If I was in the area I would take him!

cockeral is young rooster, pullet is young hen. Like boy, man and girl, woman.

You can try your feed store but they usually don't do anything about getting a rooster, unless they discount another chick for you. If you 100% need a pullet, go with a sex link (that are sexed, I guess some places sell straight run sex links) so you can know for sure what sex you're getting.

im swaying to that being an easter egger and a roo

there is a rumpless version of the Araucana but not poplulkar outside netherlands and the uk standard for Araucana is this

Araucanas in the US are rumpless, muff less and beardless. I breed them Check them out on my site. I do agree the the UK version is different than the American.
