It's 11 weeks old very friendly and I'm hoping it isn't a roo or else I have to give away as I live in town.

It and the bird behind it are male. It is a mixed breed EE, not a Ameraucana.

No, definitely not a Wheaten Ameraucana. There is no variety of Ameraucana that looks like that.

Because Easter Eggers are very common, while actual Ameraucanas are much less common.

Because most chickens sold as "Ameraucanas" (and various wrong spellings) are actually Easter Eggers.

Because Ameraucanas come on certain specific colors, and none look like that.
