I just recently bought two silver laced Wyandotte's that are about 5 months old. I thought I heard some crowing early this morning but I am not sure which one it was because they both look like hens to me. This is a picture of the one I suspect.

She has much shorter tail feathers. The black one is for sure a hen.Could you get pics of the second one?
I have had her since she was a baby and she has never crowed. She is about 7 months now. Her brother started crowing around 5 months and he is a lot bigger than her.I think she's a she. (First pic)
What makes you so sure the black one is female?
