Previous, anytime is enter the coop it would rush at me and would jump up at my face, I Tried to make it work and it just didn’t. I was scared!

Some roosters can be fine. Here is a photo of mine with his hens. He will put himself between 2 hens that are squabbling.

LOL - I've never seen my roo do that, but that's hilarious. I have, however, seen my roo run protectively towards any hen that sounds a predator alarm, which I think is very gentlemanly of him.
