Is this a rooster?

I guess they are a bit long. And it holds its wings low..
She looks like a pullet, chickens will hold their wings low if they’re uncomfortable not just if they’re a roo. I’ve had a couple confusing hens too lol, they were both 50/50 but they’re both hens (thankfully)

I think this is the picture where my friend pointed out she was holding her wings low (this is reaper) and that it meant she was uncomfortable, she was recovering from a Mereks like thing, hard to tell if they’re low on a silkie…

Also important note while we are on the topic of drooping wings
*It can also mean heat stress, diseases, injury, etc*

Not saying your chicken has any of those at all, i just want to make sure you know to not brush off drooping wings as normal all the time.

I won’t go on anymore about it because im sure OP is tired of hearing about wings and they want to know the gender, i just wanted to say that.

I can't really see any pointed feathers myself, so I'm going to say pullet for now. I'm probably wrong though.
(edited) Looking at it again, I am now inclined to cockerel.

I just really can’t see what I’m supposed to be looking for here..!
Can you tell me the sex and what your indicates that, please?

I have a few other roosters that are very obvious, but this one is tricky with that fan tail..

Thank you! View attachment 3259467
May i ask what breed? My emotions are mixed but depending on the breed i would say a gender with much more confidence.

Without knowing a breed at all, i would vote girl, but it is tricky indeed. Best to really wait and see.

Temperament? Any baby pics from a few weeks?

Thank you. I appreciate the input.

I'm not very good at seeing pointy feathers so I say this with no experience. I think pullet, I can only see rounded feathers.

For anyone who is taking pictures of their chicken wanting to know the gender, or people just wanting to see for themselves, I recommend putting a hand behind the neck feathers to see them more clearly.
