Is this a rooster???

I have a flock of 11, 5 Barred Rock and 6 RIR, that are 15 weeks old. I have one that seems different than the others..could she be a he???

Yes, the RIR in the photo. Would you have a hen that is more mature than the others even though they were all purchased as chicks at the same time?? She also has little bumps were the spurs would be on a rooster. Do hens have that? I thought at first that she was a hen that would be the first to lay, (how exciting!!) but then the others (non chicken experts BTW) in my house think it's rooster!

Wow, I don't know. That comb and those wattles are awfully red and big to be a hen.

Too early to start laying at 15 weeks, so I'm guessing roo. Can you get any pics showing the whole bird, especially the saddle and hackles?

Granted he is grown but this is a RIR roo

She looks like my hen and should be laying soon! The girls have big combs and waddles, but not like the roos.

Looks like a hen. Is it possible that one is older than the others? Doesn't look roo-ish at all.
