Is this a rooster?

It never crows, it never mounts the hens, seems not overly aggressive, but it has spurs. Is that always a tell-tale?

Girls can get spurs also. At 2 years of age that is a hen. =)

Yeah... It is not unusual for hens to develop spurs.

Any bird that color is a hen. Hens often grow spurs, some game hens especially get wicked long spurs!

yer this may sound weird but we had a hen and she laid eggs and a little while later it started crowing
and became a rooster so it probably will not relate to this topic but my point is this never mounted the chooks
