I recently added some youn pullets (4months now) to my existing flock of 3 adult hens. I think I heard this one crow yesterday morning but I am not entirely sure. This is the first Americauna that I have raised and I thought the longish tail feathers were just part of the breeds "fluffiness" the young pullets do chest bump and posture often but again I assumed they were still establishing order. If this is a roo, he is still very timid around the other adult hens, will this change?? So take a look at these pics and let meknowwhat you think....rooster or not?

Yep, that's a rooster.

Cockadoodledo for you!

Yes, as he matures he will assume his roosterly duties and may turn aggressive toward you and your family.

He's a rooster, judging by the patchy coloring, curved tail feathers, red on the wings, and large red comb. And, I believe that he's an Easter Egger, not an Ameraucana. He's very pretty!

If you bought him recently as a pullet, I have to wonder about the seller's honesty. He's very obviously a cockerel to a trained eye.
