Hello and Welcome To BYC! You might want to try posting pictures in the What Breed/Gender is this forum for help figuring out what your bird is www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this If it is actually around 4-5 months old would vote it is a pullet getting ready to lay.
