So I went and bought 6 silkie chicks about a week ago from a breeder. All of the other chicks are around the same size, but this one is a lot smaller and has a different pattern on it. I was trying to get one silkie of each color to add some variety to my flock and she brought this one out when I asked if she "had any orange ones". It is a lot smaller than all my other chicks, different pattern, and a rounder shape, and less of a neck. And then there's the fact that all the other little birdies pick on it (peck, push out of way, step on it). So I was thinking maybe because they can tell it's different… ? It does have the extra toe that silkies have though..
