Is this a Silver? Why does it have "bed head" feathers?

Is this a "Silver"? His/hear feathers are always crazy looking. Kind of curled almost. My other birds feathers lay down smoothly.

Dunno about the color morph but a few of mine have that freshly electrocuted look. Doesn't seem to be hurting them. Was told they'd probably grow out of it.

I'd call that one a silver. Young birds occasionally do have those rough feathers and grow out of them. What are you feeding them? It might be a sign of not enough protein too.

I had them on a gamebird chick starter (24% protein) but switched them to a 26.6% gamebird chick starter.

The 24% was a bit low. If you can find something 28%, that would be better. That could explain the bedhead feathers.

I actually just checked the new food and it is 28%. My store had 2 options and I forgot I decided on the higher one, so that's good!
