I have a 1 year old easter egger that just started sneezing (I think?) today. It's only been going on just this afternoon but she kept sneezing every few minutes for about an hour, then went to sleep - at normal bed time.

She is with two other hens who are fine. Just started exhibiting the behavior. She started when she was gorging herself on their normal feed (Purina organic layer mix) - they were out and it was refill day so she was eating super fast.

They live in a 4 hen coop with attached 300 sq ft run, on dirt, mulch, and hay. No other behavioral signs - she doesn't seem lethargic or anything. Oh - they are all molting, as of last week or so.

Is this anything to be concerned about? Or just keep an eye on? I've got some supplements but don't have them on anything proactively.

Here's a clip of the sneeze -

Those are feed dust sneezes. It doesn't necessarily indicate a respiratory issue. If there's a respiratory issue developing, you will likely see other symptoms such as discharge or bubbling from eyes and nares or swelling of the tissue around the eyes.

Those cute little sneezes without other symptoms just mean your chickens are enjoying their meal.

That makes sense! I had just filled up the entire tube with feed, hadn't actually thought about the feed being dusty but of course it was.

Thanks for your help.
