I haven’t had experience with this yet as a newbie chicken owner. She was off by herself and has layed a few shelless eggs so I gave her an epsom soak and then checked her bum area and this a pic my hubster took.

Egg membrane, gently pull it out them give her calcium citrate so she can expel the egg material.
