They are beautiful. I have also heard that you can make essential oils out of them. Don't ask me how though.

Well here we are two weeks later and they are taking over. I counted over 15 fruits on one group of plants and I have multiple groups all over the back fenceline. I can only imagine how many are in the back 1/3 acre of brush

Each picture is a different group of plants.

They're taking over!

WOW!! It's hard to imagine passion fruit being that hardy.

Will you post pics whan they are ripe?

If they turn out to be the egg gourd I would love to have some seeds. My grandmother used to grow those and I have been unable to find any.

A little birdie blessed us with passion vines too

They are taking over our horrible clay bank. We were planning on spending an unholy amount of money on Juniper bushes to cover and root to keep it from washing, but the passion vines are prettier! They just started in this year, but already we have one area with about 20 sq feet just COVERED in it and another area that is rapidly spreading too.

A birdie also blessed our other bank with Shoemake (smooth sumac), which is also rapidly overtaking the bank.

AWESOME

Free, fast-spreading ground cover. Can see where both would be a problem to some people though.
