Hi everyone, I’ve been browsing the forums a lot over the past few days but I can’t find any solid answers.

I’ve attached two pictures showing an egg we found at the stables on the 8th of May, so it’s approx day 11 now. It was abandoned on the floor. I am not sure what it is, the egg is blue, fairly small and has brown spots on it. Could be a blackbird egg?

We are trying to incubate as best we can but I think it’s a quitter. A black spot formed on the side along with some very thin red lines around day 6, it then developed into a black spot in what I assume is the yolk and there are no more red lines - just thin black ones surrounding the dot. It doesn’t smell or weep (yet!), could anyone confirm if there’s any hope at all with this please?

Thank you. We initially thought it was just a yolker but then some development happened, think I’m getting bamboozled!!

The Migratory Bird Treaty Act prohibits the taking, killing, capturing, transporting, harboring of the birds or hatching eggs, that which are Native to the United States of America. All are protected by state and federal agencies.
