This is Poopsie our 3 month old Ameracauna. Does he look like a roo? If so, should he be crowing by now?

He seems to lead the pack with our other Ameracauna and one Buff Orpington (who we know is a pullet)

Thanks for taking the time to look at our chicks!

In the photo below, Poopsie is the one on the left. Elizabeth is on the right. We think that Elizabeth is a girl based on her yellowish colored comb and "ladylike" demeanor, but we could be wrong on this too.

If those two are the same age,I would go with Poopsie being a roo.

His comb is much redder and larger than hers. As far as crowing,I don't know exactly when they start,I read all ages starting to crow...I think they just do it whenever they decide they want to be heard. LOL

What she said.

that is not a single comb, it looks like a single comb breed was crossed in, but that is still a pea comb of sorts. I call them duplex, but don't know the correct term, I just refer to it as that because it has dual qualities. At 3 months old the tail won't be very big, maybe a couple longer feathers.
I would guess 8 weeks in the bottom pic and say the one on the right is a pullet, with a nice tight small pea comb
