I've seen so many posts saying that Ameraucanas are often not. They are Easter Eggers or Araucanas or...
Wondering if you think this 5-6 week old chick is an Ameracuana as advertised (got from a local breeder, straight run)? And if you have thoughts on pullet v. roo would love to hear.

It might actually be! That is a first time for me and I nave no gender guess yet.

Thanks all. @fancyfowl4ever, I have seven other chicks (about that age or a week or two older) and they all have combs about that big. But they are all different breeds so maybe not all cockerels? I know it's too soon to tell but I appreciate your educated guesses.

Araucana are more rare than americuana. And are rumpless. If its not from a hatcherie and is from a local breeder than there is a good possibility that it is americuana. But it does look like a cockerel with the comb at that age

Are the bottoms of "her" feet yellow or white?

Got a close up pic of the comb? With mine the males combs stayed in a flattened 3 rows and started pinking up at this age. The females had the center ridge more pronounced on the comb than the two rows on either side and stayed pale.

Looks like a Blue Ameraucana, as the comb, leg coloring, and plumage is right. The comb is a bit prominent for a pullet of that age, so for now, I'm guessing its a cockerel.
