It could be a black sex-link but both mine have no gold coloring beyond their necks. Maybe mine are weird as they only have that gold as a 'necklace' instead of all the way down their bodies.

Both sex-links and wyandottes lay brown eggs.

Maybe it's a GLW x Black sex-link?

Oh. Well I know the farmer that I got them from did have RIR (I got a few) and I also know he had some Dominiques. Could it be that mixture? I don't recall any Barred Rock, but maybe he did. HE did have a Wyandotte Roo, so maybe some other crazy X. Thanks for your insight. It's so fun trying to figure out what they are. Now I can't wait for the eggs to come.

Yes, that could be what happened. He had a RIR roo and a Dom hen.

I have no idea what EE hens look like, but she looks NOTHING like my EE rooster!!!!!!!
