Thank you it just looks tan to me and I thought they were green. And I can’t figure out which hen is laying it. Thanks again

One article I read about them stated that their egg colours range from an olive green to khaki. Some of the eggs also look similar with the speckles and some green (more so on the lighter side). I would say that it likely is an olive egger egg but what breeds do you have? You can rule out any chicken who lays white eggs as those don't get speckled (at least in chickens).

Olive eggers are made by crossing a blue egg layer with a brown egg layer. The egg color does not breed true. So if you breed two olive eggers together, you will end up with some green layers, but also some brown/tan layers because those ones did not inherit the blue egg gene.

So it very well could be an egg from a bird labeled as “olive egger” but that term is used broadly and not all birds called that will lay olive eggs.

Also if the blue egg layer parent used to create the olive egger only has 1 blue egg gene, then the offspring will only have 50/50 chance of laying green eggs. The only way to get consistent olive layers is to breed a chicken that has 2 blue egg genes, to a chicken with brown egg genes. Any other cross will not be consistent! Hope that helps!

Thank you for the information. I have olive egger from Hoover Hatchery. I also have a few others a buff Orpington, a black French copper Maran, a sapphire gem, and an azure. I know it wouldn’t be the FBCM or azure

It is a really cool looking egg. It could be from your olive egger. If your pullets are just starting to lay I wouldn't rule out the marans either. It's possible this egg is from one of your brown layers and just didn't spend enough time in the paint department. Brown eggs are on a white base and the brown color is added on the outside of the shell as the egg makes it's way through the ovaduct. So the color can vary, especially when pullets first start laying, if there is something that affects how long the egg takes to be formed.
