Is this Angle Wing?

I can't tell if this is angle wing or if it's just normal for ducklings when they are getting their wing feathers. Racer is 5 weeks old. I had them on Dumor Chick Starter Feed, which was 20% protein. I KNOW they shouldn't have the much protein this young. I didn't realize that until after I had went through an entire bag. I will buy a lower % of protein on the next bag, which I will be buying today.

But here are the pictures of his wing. Please note that both sides look like this. Also the other two ducklings wings look like this on the tips but not as much as his. So I'm not sure if it's just normal growth or angle wing.

This wing isn't trying to protrude from the body. It is laying perfectly against his chest just like a wing should.

Looks like that one is just a little ahead of the others getting his primary wing feathers. As long as they don't start to droop. When I first started in ducks a few years ago, we didn't know either until we finished a 25lb bag of 20%. One of our snowy calls got it and we kept her inside and wrapped both wings around her chest with the non-stick 3M bandage. In a couple weeks she was fine and you can't tell at all now and she is 3 years old now.

Thanks, yeah he is the biggest of all three, so I wasn't sure if he was just ahead of the game of if it was something I needed to intervene on. I have upped their greens and am switching to a lower protein level feed.

My ducks feathers are the same way and color. I dont think its Angle wing, I think its just there color's and feathers growing. Or at least Im hoping anyway

Angel wing is when they fold their wing in a non normal way so their wing tips protrude about 90 degrees from their body. It is hard to explain but there is a right and a wrong way to fold a wing. It should fit close to the body, not stick out. It starts as a bad habit and can be corrected by properly folding the wing and binding it that way for about a week. If not corrected early the joints will grow deformed and it can not be corrected once that happens.
Many mistake dropped wing for angle wing. This dropped wing is just the weight of the new blood feathers being more than the undeveloped muscles can easily support so they just let the wings drop or droop while relaxed. happens more in hot weather as the dropped wings allow more heat to excape from the body. But the duck retains the ability to properly fold the wing and they usually will when they are sitting down or are in the pool.
