The bird in the middle keeps raisining its wing after getting his butt kicked. Then I watched all four do this at the same time. Now we were getting sleet at the time this is why I thought of anting.

Maybe all the fighting and breeding was distracting them, then once they calmed down, they realized, "OH! We can take a bath in this stuff!"
