I got these chicks 12 days ago and the black sex link has always been a bit odd looking. She now has a pretty bald head and her neck is balding too? Wondering if this looks normal. Video attached because getting a picture is hard when they won't sit still. She's not getting pecked - we're not having that problem yet - and I have blue kote and vetericyn on hand but I haven't used either. She's *very* active, eating normal etc.

They have been eating Purina medicated starter and some dried meal worms (handfed a few times a week). I put electrolytes on their waiter every other day and nutridrench 1-2x a week. They have a dish of chick grit too.

The ambient room temp is usually high 60s to low 70s and they have a brooder plate they sleep under.

Anyway you could hold the chick and get pictures? Or have someone hold the chick. Very hard to see in video. Looks like a normal chick to me.

I see now, what are you using for a heat source? That's looks like a burn from heat plate on the top of her head. As for the neck that looks normal to me for a growing chick. They'll look a little raggy as they are growing in to their feathers.

I'm using a brooder plate off amazon. I actually just raised it recently but I've kept it angled so they can choose where they sit. Maybe I should have raised it sooner 🤔
