Is this Birchen? If not what color?

    I seen this bird for sale and I was wondering what color this is. He is listed as Birchen but all the Birchens I see are silver/black.

    That isn't any recognized color. He's gold/red base color, with a partridge type pattern, and what looks to be incomplete lacing (giving the black flecks look). No telling what else he may be carrying. That is quite mix.

    Nope, not birchen. He could be quite fun to play with color-wise, with different hens. I'll bet you'd have the most colorful flock in the neighborhood [​IMG]

    I thought maybe the same thing. His chest pattern reminds me of my Mille's. I was looking for cochin roosters and he was labeled as a birchin cochin.
