Is this "Blue"??

One of 2 Brahmas to hatch. 4 days old. The other is black at the moment.

The parents are brown and 'laced' looking....

Feathers on the wing tips are coming in very dark.

The feathering on the feet is Brahma.
Were these eggs you bought or are they from you flock?
The chick fuzz looks like the blues I get from my cochins.

The amount of feathering changes on all chicks.

A Brahma would not have a black face or legs. Even as a young chick, a Brahma would show yellow legs as well as a horn colored beak. I see a Silkie or Silkie mix in that chick. Not a Brahma.


ETA: There is also, as of this moment, no blue Brahmas that are recognized as a variety or have been seen in the U.S.
