Is this broodiness? (VIDEO)

Ack, don't give her any ideas!

Besides, so far she only seems to act that way for a few hours a day. Maybe she's working up to a proper broody session, lol?

People don't say this is a site full of enablers for nothin'!

Eggs!! Let's take a vote, shall we?

Yes, they will sometimes work themselves into it instead of going full time right away.

I loved watching your video - it was really well done. I laughed to myself, thinking it'll be months and months before any of my girls would go broody.

Hah! One of my girls was channeling your bantam Sophie this morning! I couldn't believe it. I had never seen a broody hen before watching your video, and here was my girl, doing the exact same thing. Too funny.

I stole her egg and put an ice pack under her. I checked on her 20 minutes later and darned if she wasn't trying her shivery best to hatch out the icepack. (I took the ice pack away since it was 20 degrees this morning.)

I have a girl doing something similar.. even makes those weird growly clucks, although it's part time for her, too.

I had to laugh.. that look of death in Sophie's eye when she realized that her peck DIDN'T drive you away! She was ready to do BATTLE!
