Hello Chicken Masters! We have two seven-week-old Buff Orpington chicks and although neither of them has tried to crow yet, one of them does have a substantially larger comb already. I'm starting to thing "he" is a roo and the other one is a pullet, but I just don't know enough to really *know*, ya know? Give me your opinions!

Here is the one with the larger comb:

and here's the one with almost no comb:

Thoughts? They are both so freaking sweet and lovable, I don't really care what they are, but I am pretty curious

at 7 weeks I am going to say the first pic is a roo, second looks to be a pullet. If you look at the two in comparison, are "his" legs larger? Is he bigger overall? Sometimes these are easy ways to tell. In a few weeks if he is a rooster, his saddle feathers will start coming in and will be darker and shinier than the rest.

Thanks guys. "He" is super friendly and outgoing, but not aggressive. Yet. Hopefully he stays that way and we can keep him
