I have never heard of that - is it deadly?
is that infected or just maybe a syst?
Hope that it is nothing to serious or painful for you chick.

There should be a black scab on the pad of the foot. It's infected with staph and is causing swelling up between the toes. There are several threads here concerning the treatment of bumblefoot, which I am unfortunately familiar with. Really heavy birds are more susceptible to it-more force on the feet when they jump down off things. Any scrape can develop this.

Goin down to check for a scab. I pray there isnt any. I have boards they can wlak on to get to their roosts and perches, but they seem to jump up and down.

My Barred Rock rooster Ranger got bumble foot and we didn't find a big black scab. He did for sure have bumble foot though. After surgery he only got a little bit better. We are still considering our options. Fast treatment is the best though. Good luck.
