A few days ago my welsh harlequin started limping. I looked at her foot at that time and didn't see anything, so thought maybe she strained her leg somehow. I've been trying to keep her more contained so she doesn't stress it. Just now I noticed that the center part of her foot was a little swollen on top and then found this on the bottom. Does this look like bumblefoot? Thanks

Thank you. I just soaked in epsom salts and applied neosporin. That leg was definitely warmer than the other. So bummed, it's impossible to keep their area clean during winter, though doing the best I can.

I have some sulfamethox oral antibiotic that another duck was prescribed last December. Do you think it would help to give her this? I did treat another duck last summer for bumblefoot and that was early too, but in that case the foot wasn't quite as swollen as Poppy's is.

sorry icing take her what the vet have my girl. I need to check.
I've done a little search online but haven't figured out the answer yet. I can call the vet Monday. Ha, my vet is in Kirkland, WA epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak. I think I want to wait on vet, especially since I was able to help my last duck get cured.

After a week of doing soaks and applying neosporin nothing has changed for my duck. She limps so I know it's painful. The little plug is sooo tiny. I've tried to move it with my fingernail after soaks, but nothing happens. Should I try to use a tweezers and remove this or just keep on with the soaking? Would love some advice. Thanks
