Is this Bumble Foot?

I noticed one of my chickens footpads was swollen. Took a look and saw this. There seems to be a plug in the middle thatI picked at gently with some tweezers but it seems kind of deep so stopped. She doesn’t appear to be favoring it and is otherwise eating/moving fine

Yes, looks like Bumblefoot to me. Just be careful when cleaning and treating it, as it’s caused by a staph infection.

That looks to be significant bumblefoot to me. Is she easily handled? If it’s not bothering her, maybe you can soak and pick away at it over time.

Thank you both for your replies. This one is a little skittish, but fairly calm once I catch her. I’m going to start treating tomorrow. Appreciate the help.

Just wanted to update you that removal of the plug was a success and she recovering nicely. Thanks everyone for the input.
