Is this Bumblefoot?

He has always had a crooked toe which never seemed to bother him. He is 9months old now. Recently I noticed his crooked toe seemed a little swollen at the Base but still acting normal. This morning he had a watery poop with a little bit of thick yellow mucous in it.

I have epsom Salt, Betadine, cvs Brand wound wrap and neosporin.

Is this too far gone to attempt myself? I’ve never dealt with bumblefoot before.

I don't think that is bumblefoot. Bumblefoot usually has a round hard callus that you can feel depth to - not just like a scab on the surface. This looks like a surface wound and you need to clean it so will not turn into bumblefoot.

@taprock i soaked his foot in epsom salt and sprayed it with vetericyn plus. Then put on neosporin and wrapped it up.
Do you think there is anything else I should do? Clean it again tomorrow? Its almost like a hole

It looks good. I think you did fine. The trick is keeping it clean. I have found using press and seal over the bandage will keep it dry. Usually they heal up quickly.

I concur with taprock. Clean it daily to prevent further infection. Wrapping it is a good option.
