I got 4 chicks yesterday from my aunt because she couldn't care for them anymore. She said that they are all hens but I am doubting her. I asked what breed they were on this website and it turns out they are red sex-links. One of the chicks avoids people and would attack the other chicks by charging, pecking hardly, and would also jump in front of their faces, stare at them, and then wait till they back off if this doesn't work then "she" would peck them. "She" has a more brown/orange head, unlike the other chicks yellow/tan heads.

Please note that the other chicks are really affectionate and all three try to crawl up my arm whenever I put it into their enclosure and one of the chicks has tail feathers already.

If they are indeed red sex-links, then the gender is determined by the color they are when they are babies. Here is a good link with pictures of what the males and females look like https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/the-truth-and-guide-to-red-sex-links.74294/
Ok, so she is definitely a she, thank you.

Also, I know that this is not connected to the question, but... they only live from two to three years?! 😭 It said that they start out red and then slowly get white spots. My chicks wing feathers are grown and are white/tan peppered with a little bit of brown. Could they really be red sex-links?

I wish I knew, but I don't. I'm sorry! Hopefully someone else can help out that has more insight.
