Is this chick hurt or is this normal?

This chic is a buff Orp. Will be 3 weeks old on Sunday. I'm pretty sure this is the male I ordered due to his size, slower wing growth and large comb coming in. I just noticed this red spot on him. i wouldn't think he would start getting red around his face this early. Possible pecking wound? We have 12 chicks and they have begun their pecking order rituals. Should I remove him from the flock until healed?

I'm not the most experienced, but to me I'm not seeing anything, just his wattles?

Hard to tell from the pic, but looks like it might be a partial pecking wound. I think I see a small darker area on the bottom of the wattle...that might be the spot?
