is this "chick toy" ok?

So, I just picked up my first batch of 6 week old chicks yesterday

Today my DD decided to take and empty granola bar wrapper and tape it to the inside of the brooder. It is the kind that has a silver/foil inside, Quaker I think. The chicks are FASCINATED with it. They all stand there and peck at it. Is this ok? Being a first time chick mom, I wasn't sure if all the pecking could hurt their beaks? Would love to hear what you seasoned pros have to say. FYI the brooder is a Rubbermaid container. If it doesn't hurt them, its a very entertaining "toy"

I wouldn't give it to them in case they peck it and tear a piece off and eat it out of curiosity. I hear chickens also like the color red if that helps you pick another toy! Hope this helps!

They do like the color red to peck at, hence they like blood, and will canabalise if there is an open wound. I would put up an old CD so they can see the shiny side, its less likely to get broken and eaten
