Is this coccidiosis medicine?

The package says Aureomycin. There is another product labeled aureomycin "sulmet" but it is only approved for swine.

Is this the same thing?

I believe you are gonna want to use the Sulmet to treat Cocci.

Is it safe to use with chicks?

How old are the chicks? That is what you are suppose to use for Cocci. I believe the dosage is 2tbs per 1 gallon of water for 2 to 6 day's.


How do you know that it is Cocci? I would hate for you to treat them for that and it not be the problem. Can you tell us alittle bit of what is going on with your birds?

Weel, I don't even have the birdies yet... but I'm just trying to be prepared... sorry to set off the alarm bells! I just don't want to be caught napping, because the TSC isn't exactly close to my house. Thanks for caring though!!!
