is this cochin a cockerel?

So I've wondered ever since I bought this bird a couple of weeks ago if it was a cockerel but after last night watching it free range I'm even more convinced. This bird is definitely the alpha of the 4 birds I bought and is VERY aggressive.

Can anyone help me, can you tell from a pict if this beautiful bird is a boy or a girl?

He started to try to crow today so I'm definitely convinced he's a he now I have to find him a new home since our city doesn't allow roosters.


He's only 8 weeks old. Does this view help show the shape of the feathers? What shape am I looking for if this is a male?

I'm no expert, but my cochin hens have combs about that size and they are adults. I would guess rooster given the size and color of the comb, but can't really see the shape of the feathers.
