hi all, do you think this male color is S/s or s/s
if i cross him with buff columbian female, will i get only buff columbian and buff barred columbian or will get some silver like light columbian/barred?
do you think he has blue?

thank you

Do you have any knowledge of the parents of this bird?

No he is not a carrier of blue. If he carried blue his black feathers would be blue. He will not breed any blue chicks. You must have at least one blue or splash parent to get blue offspring. Blue can only be "hidden" in self white chickens.

I would say he is s/s. I have been working a buff columbian project for several years. When the male are S/s they are mostly a poor quality of white with buff leakage in the wings and hackles. If he is somehow S/s then half of the chicks will be silver and the other half buff.

If he is B/B for barring then all the chicks will be barred. If he is B/b then half will be barred and the other half not barred

When you breed him with the buff columbian female all the mysteries will be removed.
