Is this comb normal?

It’s a bit pinkish and the top is white

Quite cold where I live as of right now I’ve seen them digging and sometimes pecking each other.

But I’m pretty sure it’s been there for quite a bit as soon as her comb started developing as I noticed in all my picture of her the back is white

Maybe put some petroleum jelly on it to pervent any further damage
