This Morning, I saw one of the ducklings drowning on the kiddie pool of my ducks. I dont know how the duckling managed to climb that thing but yeah the poor thing got stuck. So I grabbed it and let it escape. It runs back to its mother and I thought everything is okay but it can barely walk to follow its mom and siblings. I don't know if the duck is injured or it can't move because its too wet. I now let the duckling recover inside a box with hay and because I dont have heating lamp I used my pc's UPS as a heater. The duckling is now dry and Its sitting cozy on the hay and its sticking to the ups for warmth. Should I bring it back to it's mother or should I let it recover?

I worry the kid will be rejected.

I would take it back to its mother, and set it down near her and the others. And watch them closely to see how she reacts to it, and be ready to rescue it if needed. If she takes it back, no issues - if not, you'll have to care for it yourself until it's big enough to be introduced again... or if you have another momma that's willing to look after it.

I'm not sure what the best way to reintroduce. If she's a good momma, she's probably worried about it, and looking for it.

Can we see a picture of the duckling? Or a video? Some here might be able to tell if something's wrong from a video of it. And also we just love to watch videos of baby ducklings.
