Please help, I bought 4 yesterday the lady told me they were all pullets but this ones comb looks like a roo to me now that I'm looking at closer

Oh and if it helps she said the were all "about a month old"

Really? Ok thanks!! I just always thought the females combs were really small and only the males had comes like this one... I guess I'll have to wait then lol... when would you say you could really tell in an EE?

Usually I can tell between 6-8 weeks, some seem to age differently and my EE roo didn't show signs that he was a rooster until he was about 4 months old. But after they get all their feathers, EEs cockerels will start to get red brown patches on their wings, generally speaking. Is that a single comb?

It looks like a single comb to me. But occasinonaly you find EEs with single combs instead of pea combs, expecially from hatcheries. I had an EE that had a single comb.

Yes its a single comb, that's why I was thinking roo. They weren't from a hatchery though. I found them on craigslist, the lady said her hens all layed either blue or pink eggs and she hatched the eggs from her hens. She said they were all pullets and i'm hoping they are because I can't have roo's.... I'll have to wait a few weeks and post more pics then!!
