Is this egg a goner ?

Hey, thanks for checking out my first post. I’m excited to be apart of this community.

I’m currently incubating Ancona duck eggs. Unfortunately, 3 days ago I went on a day trip and the humidity increased in the incubator (not a still-air) ,from 60% to 80%. I quickly fixed it and got the humidity back to normal. I lost 3 out off my 5 sadly ): .

The eggs are on day 8, and I’m not sure about them.
Is this one forming a blood ring, or is it developing ?


This is my first time hatching, I appreciate any advice given.

Hmmm hard to tell, leave them in a few more days and see if they've developed more. Have you seen any movement in them?

I wouldn't think your humidity being high for at most... 3 days would have killed the embryos in your other 3 eggs. Why don't you leave all the eggs and check them at lockdown?

Once I set my eggs I do not open my incubator until lockdown. Once at lockdown I candle and remove the clears. This way everyone gets a fair shake and I eliminate the possibility of removing an egg early on that "could" have still been viable...

Can you see any good evening in the egg? It's hard to tell in the pics. The embryo itself looks to be the right size development wise. I agree though, the humidity being low at this stage shouldn't effect it too much.
