Our bantam girls' eggs look fertile, and we've seen our bantam boy mating them.

But we haven't seen him mate the standard size hen, and there is some debate in our house about whether he will/can.

So would appreciate your thoughts on whether this egg is fertile.

I just wasn't sure because it has a faint fuzzy ring around but not a clear bold ring

Sorry what do you mean by couple days fertile? Time since laid or fertilised? This was just laid.
Time since fertilized when a egg shows fertile early its a bullseye then the cells start growing the bullseye fills in. I may be wrong but all my eggs that aren't fertile the white dot is usually very tiny that one to me looks pretty big for a infertile egg.

It looks infertile to me too.

Here is an image of my own fertile egg. I've had more defined bullseyes than this, but if you open it up you can see the clear white dot surrounded by another white ring. The white ring with the dot in the middle is the bullseye. The dot by itself, with no ring, indicates infertility. There are times though when the white ring is nearly invisible to the inexperienced eye, and sometimes in a photograph it's more difficult to distinguished. I'm not an expert, so take my opinion with a grain of salt lol, but to me, it looks infertile.
