Is this egg ok

I got this egg from one of my RIR ...is it ok to eat ..I'm not sure what that whitish stuff is

It is called a chalaza. It anchors the yolk so it doesn't get damaged against the eggshell in case the egg is moved. They get smaller as the egg ages. You can pick it out if you want but its safe to eat.

It's the little rope that holds the yolk in the center.
