Is this feed ok?

Yes, I am in Australia. Thats why I havent asked for specific brands.

I found someone local selling this mix. He says its minimum protein 16%. This is from the ad:
This is a great blend mix of wheat, corn, sorghum, grey striped sunflower seed and chickpeas all cracked through a grain roller mill to keep your poultry happy.

Thoughts?

I found a produce barn close by that I will head to this week. My girls free range all day and we are starting a mealworm farm just for them.

I agree with the protein levels being too low. In fact, I think that even 16% is too low for heritage breeds. I feed a 22% layer with animal protein and a 13-grain gamecock mix which contains grit in it as well for their scratch (16% by itself), but the mainstay is the layer pellet, not the grain mix. Some love the corn and eat only that, some eat only the smaller grains, but none eat the grain mix evenly. As you can see from my sig line, I am not a proponent of fermented feed for avian species, period, for very valid reasons (no, I won't be drawn into a discussion about it here because I've been attacked when disagree with it-listen to the video if you want to know why).
