Is this fertile?

First, I'm not looking to incubate, just to learn. I read about there being a spot that is produced by the hen when the egg isn't fertile and a different type spot when the rooster has fertilized the egg. I don't remember the proper names for the spots or which is which. While making a meatloaf tonight I saw this spot. So, is this fertile or not fertile?

The dot makes me think of an eyeball, the cornea and pupil specifically. So thats what fertile looks like! Cool! If I remember correctly the unfertile...infertile...nonfertile... whatever egg spot is not perfectly circular.

Yup! It’s fertile!! And the “spot” you’re seeing is called the blastoderm.

I do indeed. Roopecca, formerly known as Repecca, is my Uh Oh it's a boy rooster. I won't be hatching any offspring from him. He has pendulous crop issues I don't wish to have passed on. I didn't want boys but he was the family favorite and we couldn't part with him. Besides, no one but me would have kept him from the soup pot. He has 6 ladies to keep him happy. Since he learned to be nice (usually) they are happy enough to keep him around. No one is getting beat up. Winnie, the Silver Laced Wyandotte, is his #1 wife who hangs out with him all day and cuddles with him at night. He does remind me he's da man by "Fluffing" at me occasionally but he has bitten hubby a time or two. I think he smells male pheromones on hubby, maybe even a bit of fear!
I collect eggs daily so I'm not worried about finding embryos. I don't always put them in the fridge immediately but they don't get incubated. If I get a bigger OR a second coop I may get some fertile eggs of some breeds I'd like to have from my breeder and put them under a broody next spring/summer. But no, Roopecca is not allowed to reproduce.
