Is this flystrike? If so how can I treat?

If you have trouble getting all the maggots you can also use a permethrin product like Swat or Prozap, made for treating screw flies or screw worms on livestock.
And you are correct that she may have an underlying condition that set her up for this. She may have a reproductive problem, etc. which was the cause of the dirty vent that attracted the flies. Best of luck with her.

Thanks for all of the help - without the threads here I would have been lost - she seems well today, is eating and having normal poops so hoping there is nothing more serious underlying. I let her out in the sun for a bit and she ate a little grass and pecked around. A last question - can I / should I do a permethrin dip daily for a few days? I don't want to overdose her on permethrin but am so fearful of the maggots returning.

I would not use the permethrin unless you can't get all the maggots. If the wound is staying clear of them, then it's not necessary. Just be vigilant about checking several times a day for any reappearing. She seems to be doing ok, so hopefully she'll recover.
