What about bedding? Do they like shavings? Straw? A mix? Anyone know where I can get hemp bedding in Atlantic Canada?

I was just seeing your link, I don’t remember where I got it, but I think it was just over $10. I guess it’s not a big deal, the bag will last me over a year I bet haha. The place I’m getting the new feed has like 25 lb or something like that of what looks like a bulk milled brand for maybe $12. I remember being surprised how cheap it was.Even that's high. I bought a 5lb bag of actual oyster shell at my local feed store for about $3.
I wish! I can get hemp bedding here on amazon but it’s literally 11 times the cost of pine chips. I just use the fine version of pine chips from TSC, but it hurts me inside a little thinking about killing trees for bird poop. What about bedding? Do they like shavings? Straw? A mix? I keep my chicks on regular pine shavings, but the adults go on the ground once they're outside. It's fall now, so their pens are in my garden beds helping them get ready for next year. I can get it on Amazon but, it costs like 10 times more for me than it does for you! Lol. $60 a bail, $107 for shipping!
I put the oyster shells in my mixer for my quail the one I have has no issues its 5yrs oldThanks for the advice, the chickens get oyster shell, maybe I'll just save up all of my egg shell for the quail when the time comes.
