I had a young chick acting sick (moping, sitting alone and not eating) about three weeks ago, one eye swelled shut and now she is blind in the eye but acting normal. I am now wondering if it was a lighter case of the same thing.

Today I found an older pullet about 6months acting sick, sitting alone and not eating or foraging, eyes shut...BUT when I caught her she has sores...on both sides of her face. I made her open her eyes, they were a bit goopy. If she had been sitting sick for a couple of days and I didnt notice she could have been attacked by fire ants. She is hiding in the corn rows and there are lots of ants between the corn and okra. It is on both sides of her face and does not look like hen fighting nor rooster grabbing damages. Not under wings, not on legs nor vent...just head.

SO...
I wonder Fire ants? or Fowl pox? Anyone seen this before?

Looks like fowl pox of the dry type. No wheezing rattling breathing sounds or mucus?

No rattling or sneezing or mucus other than the eyes are goopy.
Do you know if Geese can get this? I guess its too late to seperate now.
